Trick Williams entered his SummerSlam debut accompanied by Lil Yachty, but the celebrity involvement ultimately contributed to his defeat.

Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio competed for the money Danhausen had taken from The Judgment Day.

JD McDonagh interfered, bringing out the Minihausens to even the numbers. Joe Hendry then appeared and struck McDonagh with a guitar.

As Mysterio attempted to retrieve the money, Danhausen “cursed” him, triggering pyro from the turnbuckle. Danhausen collected the bag to win and later threw money into the crowd.

Winner: Danhausen

Match analysis

This was intentionally a comedy attraction rather than a serious athletic contest.

Danhausen’s character requires WWE to fully commit to the absurdity surrounding him, and the company did exactly that. Mysterio was the appropriate opponent because his arrogance makes him uniquely effective at absorbing humiliating defeats without permanently damaging his standing.

Joe Hendry’s appearance also prevented the match from functioning as a one-night novelty.
